The Jackets’ backs weren’t against the wall—they were bruising their way into the next room, almost like a prisoner trying to escape from Sing Sing. Worse than that! Trying to escape from another defeat. At halftime, September 18, Llano’s record was zero-and-two-and-a-half, while visiting Taylor was 3-and-a-half-and-zero. What happened in the next two quarters became 24 of the most memorable moments in David Yeager’s 12-year career as a head coach.

Last week, the LCRA Transmission Services Corporation (LCRA TSC) and the staff of the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC) filed a joint motion with the PUC to delay the filing dates of the four Competitive Renewable Energy Zones (CREZ) priority transmission projects LCRA TSC plans to build in West Texas and the Hill Country. Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor, Jodi Lehman’s excellent article in last week’s Beacon about the proposed street upgrade plan and my participation in it might have given the impression I am opposed to an upgrade of our streets. I am not. Rather I’m concerned about the method being considered to finance it. Mayor Bob Lambert and the Council have prop ...
