The annual sales tax holiday weekend is coming up Aug. 20 –22. State law designates the weekend of the third Friday in August for the sales tax holiday, and it is not restricted to items purchased for kids. Shoppers will not have to pay local or state sales tax for these three days, which amounts to a saving of approximately eight percent on qualifying purchases.
