International Club “helpers” (standing from left) Valerie Walker, Jennifer Keys, Annette Burton, Howard Otto, Lourdes Langston, Annette Baird, (seated) Judy Landry, Renee Thomas, Bonnie Raffels, Peggy Wilson and Henry Wilson met July 7 to discuss upcoming programs and plans to buy a projector to facilitate slide shows. Join this interesting group on August 8 to hear Dr. Logan Wagner present a program on Italian urban development in Spanish America.
During the past four years, International Club members have seen the stars through the eyes of the telescopes of the McDonald Observatory, have witnessed an archeological dig in pre-historic America, and walked in the shoes of a mountain climber in South America, all without ever leaving Quail Point Lodge. In August the club will begin its 5th year of learning about experiences, countries and cultures around the globe.
