So you want to try your hand (or Green Thumb) at growing Asparagus? This crop seems to intimidate lots of gardeners. It is not that hard but it is time consuming to get a great harvest. Asparagus is grown from 1- or 2-yearold crowns planted in January or February, or as soon as the ground can be worked.
