Every time the race for Governor of Texas comes along, I am reminded of a little tune that drove me completely nuts in the 1960s. How in the world I can still remember this little ditty 44 years later is beyond me, but I do: Eu-gene Locke should be Gov-er-nor of Texas, the Gov-er-nor of Texas should be Eu-gene Locke! With the power of Google at my fingertips, I decided to look up old Eugene and find out whatever happened to him.
