Dear Editor, Jodi Lehman’s excellent article in last week’s Beacon about the proposed street upgrade plan and my participation in it might have given the impression I am opposed to an upgrade of our streets. I am not. Rather I’m concerned about the method being considered to finance it. I strongly believe that funding with city tax revenues, not assessments, is the only the way a street upgrade program is possible and, in my opinion, feasible.
