Air Evac Lifeteam pilot Ray Plona (right), Vicky Smith RN and Paramedic Ryan Fowts were on hand for the open house showing the equipment and explaining the services availble 24/7 by the new helicopter service for Horseshoe Bay residents. Residents can purchase an air medical membership that will pay uncovered costs associated with an Air Evac flight to a hospital in case of accidents or other medical emergencies
At the open house held at Horseshoe Bay Fire Station #2 this past Friday and Saturday, residents got acquainted with the air ambulance service now available. On view was the helicopter that is used for air evacuation to Burnet, Austin or San Antonio hospitals, along with information about the service.
