The City of Horseshoe Bay continues to be in good financial condition despite decreases in interest income and tax collection rates. The city’s 2008 taxes collected as of May 31, 2009 total $4,728,763 representing a collection rate of 94% as compared to 97% at the same time last year. The city’s budget is based on revenues of $4,900,000 from property taxes, which equates to a 97% collection rate of the $5,044,091 total tax levy for the city.
