Thursday, February 16-26:

Hill Country Community Theater presents “Funny, You Don’t Look Like a Grandmother.” Call the HCCT Box office today to make your reservations! Tickets are going fast! Jerry Morrison directs the musical comedy review that takes a modern-day look at grandmothers who are pushovers for the beauty and delight of their grandchildren. Performances are nightly, Thurs.-Sat., at 7:30 p.m., with 2:15 p.m., Sunday, matinees; $20 for adults; $9 for students age 16 and under. Friday-Saturday, February 17-18

Marble Falls Quilt Club presents “From the Heart Quilt Show” Friday and Saturday from 9am to 5pm. at the Lakeside Pavilion, 307 Buena Vista, Marble Falls. The show features 96 quilt displays, 10 vendors, a raffle quilt, silent auction and club boutique. Lunch will be available. Cost is $6. Saturday, February 18

The Highland Lakes Master Gardeners present a free Green Thumb Program “It All Starts with Soil” with Master Gardeners Robert and Sheryl Yantis to learn how to get your plants started off right. It is estimated that 80% of the problems related to landscape planting originate with soil issues. This free program is at the Marble Falls Library at 10:30 am.

Monday, February 20

The Helping Center Craft Guild will meet at 9:30am Monday at the Church at Horseshoe Bay in classroom 1. All interested in joining are welcome. Star Republican Women’s General Meeting will be held at Quail Point, 12:30 pm. Membership Appreciation Meeting! Invite a friend. Wednesday, March 7

The Llano Master Gardener Association and the Texas AgriLife Extension Service will be kicking off classes leading to certification as a Texas Master Gardener on March 07, 2012. The program will run for 10 weeks through May 09 meeting every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Classes will be held in Llano with occasional field trips in the local area.

Applications can be obtained from Vivian Horlen at the Llano County AgriLife Extension Service Office or by calling 325-247-5159. Class size is limited so please reserve your place early.


Second Sunday of the Month

The International Club will meet on the second Sunday of the month at Quail Point, unless otherwise noted. Programs will be presented in February, March and April, following a potluck luncheon. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Lourdes Langston at 598-1322.
