Kenneth Frank Piper, 92, of Horseshoe Bay passed away December 24, 2011. He was born to Guy and Laura Piper on November 5, 1919 in Manteca California.

He had been a fireman for 18 years in Piedmont California and a race official for NASCAR. He was an avid golfer till the age of 90, loved watching sports on TV especially NASCAR races and football.

Ken and Barbara always had Shelties in their lives and adopted their latest furkids from Austin Sheltie Rescue.

He is survived by his wife Barbara of 52 years, son and daughter-in-law David and Fran Piper of Scottsdale Arizona, daughter and son-in-law Larry and Lynda Flower of Austin Texas and son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Diana Fulwider of Olympia Washington. Grandchildren Frank Piper, Brad Baum, Kristin Tacey and Natalie Rasmussen. Great-grandchildren Sarah, Dallas, Taylor, Cole, Kendall and David, great-great grandson Caiden.
