The City of Horseshoe Bay has accepted the resignation of City Manager, Stan Farmer effective Wednesday, Oct. 13. The city council and staff appreciate the years of service Stan Farmer provided to the city during years of significant growth and change. A transition plan has been put in place for interim support for the highly capable department leaders in the city to allow for a smooth transition and on-going services for the community.
Just two days after the Llano County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media the modern-day equivalent of a “WANTED” poster, a Marble Falls man accused of murder turned himself in at the jail. As of Tuesday, Robert Lee Williams, 30, was being held in the Llano County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $500,000, including both felony and misdemeanor charges, according to the Llano County Sheriff’s Office. Mayor Clinesmith welcomed all and Reverend John Duncan gave invocation followed by the pledges to the American Flag and State of Texas Flag. October is Pastor Appreciation Month. Jennifer Hoyt of Horseshoe Bay qualified to play in the U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur, which will be held at The Lakewood Club in Clear Point, Alabama on September 10-15. Jenn shot an even par 72 on Thursday at Magnolia Creek GC in League City and was one of three qualifiers to advance from that location.
